I have been watching Downton Abbey here this week. It’s a show on PBS about an old money English family in the early part of the 20th century. One of the characters goes off to fight in WWI and, on a visit home, makes a comment about how his life at Downton seems like a different world than his life in the war. When he’s in one place, the events at the other place seem so distant as to be almost a fairy tale.
That’s kind of life in the hospital, too.
